Our Birch Latex Hybrid Mimic is built with the basic components listed below with a feel of 7 out of 10 on the firmness scale. We use a 6″ pocket coil instead of a 8″ coil but have added 1″ more of medium dunlop natural latex for additional comfort.

We do not duplicate the exact feel of this mattress, as they have selected foam layers that make them unique. What we have done is identify the basic components of this mattress and then let you build a version, customized for you. As an added benefit, you can adjust the feel, now or in the future by replacing components.
The Birch Mimic Model
Mimic does not mean we duplicate any particular mattress too it’s exact feel, because all brands use combinations of different density foams to achieve a particular feel for their mattress. What we have done is identify the basic components of this mattress and then let you build a version to mimic the support and comfort. As an added benefit, you can adjust the feel, now or in the future by replacing components in our zippered mattress cover. The major difference with all our DIY Mattresses is we replace polyurethane foams with 100% “natural latex foam” as the comfort layer. Natural latex is the #1 comfort solution in the mattress industry and found in your luxury mattresses in the $3,000 and up price range. We do not carry polyfoams, memory foams, or gel foams. In keeping with this design you create a more natural and “healthy” mattress.
