Mimic Disclaimer

Mimic does not mean we duplicate any particular mattress too it’s exact feel., because all brands use combinations of different density foams to achieve the particular feel for their mattress.  The major difference with all our DIY Mattresses is, in most cases, we replace polyurethane foams and memory foams with 100% “natural latex foam” as the comfort layer. Natural latex is the #1 comfort solution in the mattress industry and found in your luxury mattresses in the $3,000 and up price range.  In keeping with this design you create a more natural and “healthy” mattress.

Plushbeds Botanical Bliss Models

What components are in the plush beds botanical bliss latex mattress?

The PlushBeds Botanical Bliss Latex Mattress is a popular organic latex mattress known for its eco-friendly materials and luxurious feel. Here are the primary components that make up the mattress:

1. Organic Cotton Cover
  • The mattress is wrapped in a breathable organic cotton cover, which is soft and naturally moisture-wicking. This cover enhances airflow, keeping the mattress cool.

2. Organic Wool Layer

  • Just beneath the cotton cover is a layer of organic wool. Wool acts as a natural fire barrier, so it eliminates the need for chemical flame retardants. It also helps with temperature regulation, as wool is naturally insulating and moisture-wicking.

3. Natural Latex Layers

  • The core of the mattress consists of multiple layers of natural latex, sourced from organic rubber trees. The mattress can have different layers of latex, providing customizable firmness levels. These latex layers may include:
    • Dunlop Latex: Provides support and firmness. Dunlop latex is denser and firmer, usually found in the base layers.
    • Talalay Latex: Offers a softer and more contouring feel, typically used in the comfort layers. Talalay latex is lighter and more responsive.

The mattress is available in different thicknesses (9″, 10″, or 12″) depending on how many latex layers it includes.

4. Supportive Latex Core

  • At the base of the mattress, there is a thick layer of firmer latex that provides structure and support, ensuring proper spinal alignment and durability.

5. Customizable Firmness Options

  • You can choose the firmness level for your mattress, typically ranging from medium to firm, depending on the arrangement and thickness of the latex layers. Some configurations allow the comfort layers to be adjusted or replaced over time to suit changing preferences.

Key Features:

  • Certified Organic Materials: The mattress is certified by GOLS (Global Organic Latex Standard) and GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), ensuring that both the latex and fabric materials are organic.
  • Non-Toxic and Eco-Friendly: The mattress is free from synthetic chemicals, toxins, and off-gassing materials.

This mattress is well-suited for eco-conscious consumers and those looking for natural, hypoallergenic, and durable mattress options.

How thick are the latex layers of botanical bliss 9″ mattress

  1. Top Layer: 2 inches of Talalay Latex (for comfort and pressure relief)
    • This top layer provides a soft, contouring feel to cradle your body, offering plushness and responsiveness.
  2. Middle Layer: 3 inches of Dunlop Latex (for support)
    • The second layer is firmer than the top layer and provides support and helps with proper spinal alignment.
  3. Bottom Layer: 4 inches of Dunlop Latex (for foundational support)
    • This is the base layer, offering durable, firm support and stability to the entire mattress.

So, the total latex in the 9″ Botanical Bliss mattress is distributed across three layers: 2″ Talalay Latex on top, followed by 3″ and 4″ Dunlop Latex. The combination of these layers gives the mattress its firmness, support, and durability, with a slightly softer feel at the surface.
