The Zipper is the Difference!
All DIY mattresses have the unique benefit of a zipper cover. This allows you to open the mattress, and add or rearrange the comfort layers inside. This design is far superior to the Bed in A Box mattresses that lack the benefit of “In Home” adjustability. We have compiled alphabetical list of most popular online “Bed in a Box” models, and the basic components used to build them. You can use these models as guidelines to build your DIY mattress. Your DIY mattress will never be an exact duplicate of a mimic mattress brand, but it will be so close, we challenge you to feel the difference.
Natural Latex Foam as Comfort Layer
Mimic does not mean we duplicate any particular mattress too it’s exact feel., because all brands use combinations of different density foams to achieve the particular feel for their mattress. All DIY MIMIC mattresses use only “natural latex foam as the comfort layer. Natural latex is the #1 comfort solution in the mattress industry. We do not carry polyfoams, memory foams, or gel foams. In keeping with this design you create a more natural and “healthy” mattress.
