Design your own mattress
in three easy steps:

  • 1. Choose your Support Core The core is the support component of your DIY mattress and will be 6″ in height for all DIY mattresses. Cores can be either foam, latex, or pocket coil, and will be 6″ in height. Our “pocketed coil” is 6″ and the HD Certi-pur foam core is 6″. In the case of latex the core will consist of two 3″ layers. Our goal is to make sure you build a DIY mattress that covers a person weighing 100 or 300 lbs. Shopping for a mattress for a heavy person is one of the biggest problems, and the problem is exacerbated with the review sites recommending mattresses that in no way will support a 250-300+ lb person.
  • 2. Choose your topperToppers are made of 100% natural latex and are 3″ thick, with your choice of soft, medium, firm, and Extra firm firmness. Natural latex can emulate the feel of all the synthetic foams such as memory foam, gel foam, etc. With our zipper cover you can always make an adjustment to comfort, by changing out the 3″ latex for a different firmness. An additional option is to add a 2″ soft topper, (with cover), to the mattress.
  • 3. Choose your coverAll DIY mattress are built with one cover to enclose the 6″ core and 3″ comfort layer. We take as much care in crafting our cover as we do sourcing our latex. Each hand-sewn cover is made of 100% natural cotton that has been quilted to natural wool. The 360 zipper makes assembly a breeze, allowing you to replace and rearrange layers as needed, as well as remove completely for spot cleaning and airing out. Replacement covers are available.

“We are very impressed with this Roma mattress. Great value! It took us a few nights to get used to it at first as our last mattress was too plush/soft and not supportive enough. Now we absolutely love this mattress!”
